SKIP volunteering

SKIP GhanaDo you want a life-changing summer, volunteering in a beautiful country for an amazing cause?

SKIP UCL is a student-led charity, affiliated with Hand in Hand Orphanage for mentally disabled children and adults in rural Ghana. Every year, we provide essential disability and health training for around 12 volunteers, who will then have the opportunity to spend 4 weeks at Hand in Hand. Most of the resident children have traumatic pasts and have suffered much discrimination due to their disabilities. As one of our student volunteers at this fantastic and unique establishment, you will play, sing and dance to help provide these children with the support and care they deserve! You will also deliver health promotion lectures to orphanage caregivers, local schools and the general public, and be involved in making sustainable changes to positively influence the Hand in Hand community.
